A new report has revealed almost half of Australian workers feel lonely in the workplace and it’s impacting on productivity and personal wellbeing.

Lead researcher Dr Lindsay McMillan told Sky News people are ‘now so transactionally driven that we have lost the capacity and the ability to be relational, and our relationships are failing because of that’.

Mr McMillan says it is a very significant acknowledgment that the UK has appointed a minister for loneliness and says Australia needs to follow suit. ‘

There is no doubt from our research that Loneliness is an epidemic,’ he says.
