The negative consequences that result from bullying such as psychological distress, job dissatisfaction and emotional exhaustion create a toxic environment and can result in workplaces being stuck in a vicious cycle.

Rather than ignoring the signs, workplaces should take consider directly addressing the problem and implementing solutions such as implementing incentive systems that reward supervisors for developing high performers, rather than undermining them or ensuring your organisation has clear policies from the executive level about the management of high performers.
